Amanda Halpin, RN, NP, IBCLC
registered nurse, adult nurse practitioner, lactation consultant
Amanda trained as a masters-prepared adult nurse practitioner with a focus on integrative and complementary healing at UCSF, graduating in 2011. She then practiced primary care and internal medicine for seven years before pursuing additional training in lactation care. She completed the 120-hour BreastEd series via Health e-Learning's International Institute of Human Lactation, followed by over 500 hours of supervised clinical care in lactation support, then certification as an IBCLC. Happy to work with any family, she has a special interest in blending her skills to support families whose parenting journey includes complex medical situations. She continues to work as a nurse practitioner in a clinic focused on complex chronic disease management in the public health safety net. She lives in San Francisco with her two children.
